Therapeutic Applications:
Physical Level: decongestant, expectorant, and respiratory stimulant, indicated for the treatment of bronchitis, asthma (in low concentrations), cough, phlegm, runny nose, rhinitis, sinusitis, flu, and colds; balances breathing. Cleans and clears the airways, especially when used with peppermint essential oil. Antiseptic, antiviral, anti-inflammatory. Activates circulation and strengthens the immune system. Treats cold sores, diabetes, poor circulation, and urinary tract disorders; relieves rheumatic and muscular pains.
Psycho-emotional Level: wards off negative, fixed, obsessive, and toxic thoughts (which usually trigger inflammations, phlegm…). Increases cerebral blood flow and also alertness. Its fresh aroma helps to clear, organize, and harmonize mental processes. Promotes stimulation, enthusiasm, concentration, vitality, confidence, creativity, and assertiveness. Favors freedom and ability to express oneself (known as the lawyer's oil). "Refreshes the mind" and brings freshness.
Precautions: in high dosages, it may cause shortness of breath; contraindicated for pregnant women and children under 12 years old.
Usage: Dilute in a base cream, base gel, or carrier oil (10 drops per tablespoon of vehicle). In a personal diffuser (therapeutic necklace), apply 1 to 3 drops. In an environmental diffuser, apply 10 to 15 drops.
