An ally in protection against mosquitoes, including the Dengue and Zika Virus carriers.

Cymbopogon nardus

Originating from India and Ceylon, it has a fresh and citrusy aroma. It possesses insect-repellent, antibacterial, antifungal (Candida albicans), antibiofilm, antiseptic, disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic properties.

Recent studies highlight Citronella as a natural and effective means in combating the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The essential oil in the plant is rich in geraniol and citronellal, which repel insects, thus preventing the risk of acquiring not only Dengue but also the Zika Virus, both transmitted by Aedes aegypti (MALUF, 2008). Citronella is considered a natural and eco-friendly repellent, as it deters insects without killing them (GIOPPO; SILVA; BARRA, 2006).

Primary Uses: Natural and non-toxic insect repellent; flea prevention in dogs and cats; relief from pelvic congestion and pain; spasmodic colic; arthritis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatism; tired feet; neuritis and neuralgia. It also strengthens and purifies vital energy, cleanses the environment energetically, connects the chakras, charging them with earth energy. It relieves fatigue and anger, cleanses, revitalizes, stimulates the mind, and awakens creative expression.

How to Use:

For diffusion: pure in a room or personal diffuser.
For topical use as a repellent: dilute in a neutral base gel, cream, or vegetable oil at a ratio of 40 to 60 drops per 100g of the base.
For spraying: dilute 3% to 10% in grain alcohol (60 to 200 drops per 100 mL of alcohol).

Precautions: Not recommended for individuals allergic to any of the formula's components. Maximum dilution for pregnant women: 1%.
